(More customer reviews)I was sorry to read the other review saying this bag is flimsy.I don't doubt the customer's experience, but want to note that I've washed this bag many times over the 3-4 years that I've owned it and had no problems at all.It still looks as good as when I bought it.I love the neutral color (more khaki than olive) and the roominess.I can roll up my yoga mat with a towel and it still slides in easily.The pocket is great for keys and even a hand towel.The pocket does not zip, which would be nice, but that would be my only complaint.

Gaiam Mat Sling Review

(More customer reviews)I picked this sling because I don't take yoga classes and only need a way to transport and store my mat (that is, I don't need any room for extras). I got this in a green leaf pattern, which I love. I use it with Gaiam's regular 1/4" thick yoga mat and the straps of the sling are long, but it works fine. Therefore, if you wanted to use it with a thicker mat, that would work too.

(More customer reviews)This is a good bag as it's well ventilated and large enough for my 71-inch BlackMatPro.I like that it's made of canvas and easily washable (it smelled when I got it new).

One big flaw for the high price: The metal links of the strap dig into the shoulder and HURT!It has a strap pad but if you're carrying the bag vertically up and down your back, the position is so that the metal clasp is right on the meat of your shoulder.It's tolerable for walking from the car to the studio, but if your trekking from home, you may need to cover it with foam or something.

This is one of the most expensive bags available, so for ~$50 I'd say it's okay; I haven't found one any better.
