(More customer reviews)Having owned multiple other Camelbak products since the beginning, I've ceom to expect some pretty rugged build quality, clever features(like the integrated rain hood, bladder hanger, tab for my rear red blinking light, removable waist strap...etc.), and also light weight from their products.This one did not dissapoint in any of those departments.The reason I got this pack was because of the N.V.I.S. system, that allows ample airflow across my back while I'm hiking, riding my motorcycle to work or using my commuter bike, and just for general use.I run hot anyway, and live in the heat, and this is by FAR the most comfortable backpack I've ever owned.

A great choice for a day's biking over the most rugged terrain, the CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV hydration backpack features the new N.V.I.S. back panel, which keeps the pack from truly resting on your back for multidirectional ventilation and provides a stable center of gravity. This cycling backpack provides 1120 cubic inches of storage and includes a rain cover for all-weather excursions as well as a 100-ounce (3-liter) HydroTanium reservoir that's backed by a lifetime warranty.
The HydroTanium reservoir is made from durable polyurethane, is easy to fill thanks to the wide mouth opening, and is taste neutral--so water tastes like water (just as it should). It's also embedded with HydroGuard Anti-Microbial Technology and features a Big Bite valve that makes sure the water gets flowing as well as a Hydrolock valve that securely shuts off water flow when you know you won't be needing it. The insulated reservoir pocket keeps liquid cool for hours.
The H.A.W.G. NV has a good-sized main compartment that's large enough to carry food, extra layers and gear for a day full of mountain biking. It's complemented by three external pockets, including a cargo pocket with internal organizer for storing tools and keys as well as a fleece-lined sunglasses/MP3 player pocket. The integrated rain cover stores in its own bottom pocket. Other features include padded shoulder straps, a Dynamic Suspension harness that keeps the pack stabilized, and a removable waist belt. It's made from rugged taffeta and abrasion-resistant ripstop nylon.
