(More customer reviews)The exercises and photos used in this 50 card deck are reprinted from Elizabeth Gillies "101 Ways to Work Out on the Ball" book, so if you want to get an idea as to what is offered, take a peek inside of that (although with the cards you only get 1/2 of the exercises offered in the book and none of the instructor-developed routines). The cards are visually appealing, with full color photographs, and the exercise descriptions are easy to follow.Ms. Gillies suggests that you shuffle the cards and pull a few out at random to create a routine. This can be useful if you sit on your ball while you watch television and you want to do a few exercises during commercials. However, I really wish Ms. Gillies had followed Rodney Yee's example from his Yoga Poetry of the Body card deck, wherein he provides a card with several full routines listed so that you can layout the matching pose cards from the deck to easily progress from one move to another in an organized fashion.Had Ms. Gillies offered this option in her 50 Ways card deck, I would have given this set a full 5 stars.Still, it is, overall a nice & useful card deck. One last thought - while this doesn't effect the usefulness of the cards, in all of the photographs Ms. Gillies appears to be using a ball that is too large for her - my understanding is that when using a properly sized ball, your thighs will be parallel to the floor, but she is obviously sitting up slightly higher than this.
