(More customer reviews)Tried these over the weekend at my neighbor's gym where he's a personal trainer. Saw these and just thought they were slick. Tried them while doing squats and they held up well. Plates didn't slip. No jiggling. Easy to lock down and take off. They're made from plastic which is a touch unsettling but looking at the design, you could probably make a set out of steel (which I may be looking into since I know a few machinists and metal workers). Other than the question about long term durability, they worked fantastic. Ordered a set for myself to take to the gym so that I don't have to rely on the spring collars that the gym has, which are usually loose and beat to hell. The trade-off with durability in a metal set would obviously be weight, but I'm tempted. If you do get a set, my advice would also be not to let these guys too far out of your sight. Depending on the gym, I could see someone jacking these if you stepped away for water, etc.
