(More customer reviews)After having used a thick nylon jump rope for years, switching to this much faster PVC rope was a shock. It took me a little while to get used to it, but I did. Now I like this one better than the nylon one. Its action is smooth, perhaps due to the ball bearings in the handles. I haven't needed to shorten it, so I can't comment on that aspect of it. But watch yourself with it. If it hits you, it hurts! That hasn't diminished my enjoyment of it, though.
